Tony! Toni! Toné! Headlined Dauphin County’s 13th annual Cultural Fest at City Island on Aug. 21, 2021.

D’wayne Wiggins performed (vocals and guitar) and his cousin Timothy Christian Riley (drums and keyboard) performed as original members. Raphael Saadiq, a former standout member and Wiggins’ brother wasn’t there, so another vocalist filled in for him.

While clad in African garb, the group sang songs including “Little Walter,” “It Never Rains (In Southern California),” “Whatever You Want,” “Slow Wine,” “Anniversary,” and “Feels Good.”

Tito Puente Jr. and Los Monstros, Dwennimmen African Dance Community, and The Singer’s Lounge were opening acts.

Aside from offering a diverse group of performers, Dauphin County ensured they worked with local black businesses for the fest.

“Economic empowerment is a critical and key component of Dauphin County’s cultural festival,” Commissioner George P. Hartwick III said. “To that end, we have partnered with African-American-owned businesses with a clear message to support our own. We must educate our community about the impacts of supporting local and putting food on the table of the entrepreneurs from our communities.”

We are excited to find out who will be the featured artist for the 14th annual Dauphin County Cultural Fest in 2022. Until then, join us this month at the Dauphin County Jazz Fest on September 11 & 12.
